Marian Michaels a.k.a. Butterfly - Pin Up Submission for Lion Man Public Domain Comic Anthology

Here's a piece I did for Bill Campbell's public domain black comic book character anthology (which has just been successfully funded, yay!!), and we got to choose which characters we wanted to depict. I chose Butterfly, the first black comic superheroine.

I wanted to depict her in her element, which is on stage, but also like how a wrestler makes their entrance because when you're the first at something, you gotta do it big and make a splash when you're making history.
